Ann Bertram, 91, Breckenridge, MN, formerly Foxhome, MN, died June 16, 2005 at St. Francis Home in Breckenridge. Her funeral will be Friday, July 1, 2005 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Breckenridge, Minnesota. Father Kenneth Popp and Father Stan Wieser will be officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 30, 2005 from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge.There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Breckenridge.

Ann is survived by: One son: John (Shirley) Bertram, Foxhome, Minnesota; One daughter: Mary Ann (Richard) Pederson, Kettering, Ohio. Eight grandchildren: Steven Bertram, Mark (Karen) Bertram, James (fiancAshe Casidey Donovan) Bertram, Sarah (Jeffrey) Tronnes, Reid (Pat) Pederson, Erica (Francis) Martin, Hilary (fiancAshe David Eisenbacher) Pederson, Amanda (Kevin) Moran; Ten great-grandchildren; One brother: John Backer, Doran, MN; One sister: Virginia Wilson, San Diego, CA

She was preceded by: Her parents: Peter and Philomena Backer; Her husband: Walter Bertram; Her sisters: Margaret Patrick and Katherine Hopes; Her brothers: George and Jacob Backer

Ann was born on August 30, 1913 to Peter and Philomena (Zentner) Backer in Sonora, North Dakota. As an infant she moved with her family to Campbell and Doran where she attended school. She then worked for various farm homes in the area.

Ann was united in marriage to Walter Bertram on November 12, 1935 in St. Mary's Catholic Church at Breckenridge, Minnesota. They made their home one mile east of Doran for one year and then they moved to a farm south of Foxhome, Minnesota in 1938. Walter preceded her in death on February 25, 1980 and she continued living on the farm until February, 2005.

Ann was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She loved to care for her flowers inside and outside and enjoyed sewing. She also loved to spend time with her family.
