Beatrice Bronson, 88, Breckenridge, MN, died February 24, 2007 at her home in Breckenridge. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Breckenridge, with Rev. Wendel Kelm officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 28, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge.

There will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Breckenridge.

Beatrice is survived by: Her 3 sons and daughters-in-law: David and Sandi, Watertown, SD; Donald and Ardella, Breckenridge, MN; Steven and Jacky, Central Point, OR; Her 11 grandchildren; Her 17 great-grandchildren; Her daughter-in-law: Linda (Barton) Toyne; Her 2 sisters: Velva Korn, LaMoure, ND; Mavis (Roger) Goldsmith, Buffalo, NY; Her brother: Art Leistikow, Marion, ND.

She was preceded in death by: Her parents: Herman and Hilda Leistikow; Her husband: Carl E. Bronson; Her son: Richard T. Bronson, who died June 26, 1968 in Vietnam; Her sisters: Ethel, Alice and Beverly

Beatrice was born September 11, 1918, the daughter of Herman and Hilda (Bruschwein) Leistikow in Marion, ND, where she grew up, attended school and graduated from high school. On July 13, 1941, she was joined in marriage to Carl E. Bronson at Campbell, MN. The couple lived in Breckenridge and following Carl's service during WWII and the Korean Conflict they moved to their farm north of Doran, MN where they farmed and raised their four sons. Carl preceded her in death on October 29, 1964. In 1974, Beatrice moved to Breckenridge, where she has since resided.

Beatrice worked at the Nash Nursing Home, now known as St. Catherine's Living Center in the housekeeping department and later worked at the Leach Home in Housekeeping for over 20 years, retiring in 1993 at age 75. She also enjoyed gardening and knitting. Beatrice was a member of the Doran Presbyterian Church and Ladies Aid, and was a Gold Star Mother in the American Legion Auxiliary.

Pallbearers will be Keith Leistikow, Daryl Leistikow, Doug Christensen, Jim Christensen, Jeff Christensen, and Ryan Bronson
