Bernice Hennenfent, 96, Breckenridge, MN, died May 26, 2006 at St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge, MN.
Bernice was born February 20, 1910, in Herman, Nebraska, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Larson) Clausen. When she was a young child she moved with her family to Rothsay, MN, where she grew up and attended school.
On October 18, 1927, Bernice was united in marriage to Albert Hennenfent in Maine, MN. The couple owned and operated businesses in Foxhome, MN, Terril, Iowa, Wendell, MN and Nashua, MN.
Albert preceded her in death on April 7, 1981. Bernice made her home at the York Manor in Breckenridge, until she became a resident of St. Francis Home in February, 2000, where she has since resided.
Bernice enjoyed playing cards, fishing and dancing. She is a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Breckenridge, and the Eagles Auxiliary.
She is survived by her loving family: Her daughter: Phyllis Palmer, St. Paul, MN; Her son: Gayle (Darlene) Hennenfent, Mesquite, Nevada; Her 3 granddaughters: Judy Plaster, St. Paul, MN; Kay (Jeremy) Lipton, Los Angeles, CA, Susan (Richard) Barz, Castle Rock, CO; Her great-grandson: Troy (Mary) Plaster and Jonathan and Adam Lipton, and Ricky and Megan Barz; Her great-great-grandson: Zachary Plaster; Her foster-brother: Leon (Shirley) Smith, Cheney, KS; Many nieces and nephews.
Preceded by: Her parents: Henry and Mary Clausen; Her husband: Albert Hennenfent; Her 5 brothers: Chester, Ervin "Buck", Dale, Curtis and Lyle Clausen; Her 6 sisters: Gladys Bilden, LaDonna "Sweetie" Woessner, Evelyn Rediski, Vera Clausen, Buelah Moore and Adeline Homan.
Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral at St. Francis Chapel
