Beverly Hasbargen

Beverly Hasbargen, 75, rural Breckenridge, MN, died March 29, 2008 at Meritcare Hospital, in Fargo, ND.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Foxhome Lutheran Church, Foxhome, MN with Pastor John Andrews officiating. Interment will be at Vukku Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Foxhome.

There will be visitation on Wednesday, April 2, from 4 PM to 7:30 PM with a Prayer Service at 7 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.

She was preceded in death by: Her husband: Billy Hasbargen; Her father: Robert Steeves; Her son-in-law: Paul Shelstad;      Her grandson: Wayne Shelstad

Beverly was born on September 29, 1932 to Robert and Elnora (Friederichs) Steeves in rural Foxhome, MN. She attended school in Campbell, MN and graduated from Campbell High School in 1950.

On September 11, 1951 Beverly was united in marriage to William (Bill) Hasbargen, Jr. in Breckenridge, MN. They then began farming on their own farm in Sunnyside Township, east of Breckenridge. Beverly was active in the farming operation with Bill where they worked side by side to make the farm a success. Bill preceded her in death on November 14, 1996. Beverly has continued living on the farm.

Beverly was a member of Foxhome Lutheran Church and the Riverside Homemakers Club. One of her latest interests was in the genealogy of the Hasbargen family. She was instrumental in starting the "Hasbargen Family History" book several years ago and was still working on it to the present day.

Beverly enjoyed vegetable gardening and canning, and had many beautiful flower beds. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, bird watching, bowling, snowmobiling, and fishing. Her most special memories were made with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family and neighbors meant everything to Beverly.
