Bill Miller, 85, Fargo, North Dakota, formerly of Breckenridge, MN, died May 27, 2006 in Fargo. His funeral will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Breckenridge, MN with Fr. Kenneth Popp officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, May 29, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm all at the Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN. There will also be a one hour visitation at the Funeral Home prior to the funeral. Interment will be at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Fairmount, ND.

Bill is survived by: His son: Bill Jr. (Julie) Miller of Monticello, MN; His 3 daughters: Trudy (Daniel) Meyer of Fargo, ND; Lana (Charles) Goff of Glencoe, MN; Tammy (Rick) Derheim of Valley City, ND; His sister: Delores Shaw of Havre, MT; 11 grandchildren: Karla, Todd, & John Meyer, Rachelle (Rich) Burm, Kristy (Dave) Reep, all of Fargo, ND. Kari (Alan) Idso of Erie, ND, Kayla Solberg of Argusville, ND, Brian (Jen) Goff of Glencoe, MN, David Goff of St. Cloud, MN, Dominic (Terri) Miller, Monica (Kris) Schwickerath of Monticello, MN; 5 great-grandchildren: Breann Goff, Ellie Reep, Ethan Burm, Ty Schwickerath, and Hayden Miller.

William "Bill" Miller was born April 2, 1921 to William and Blanche (Tweeter) Miller in Fairmount, ND. He grew up and attended school there and graduated from Fairmount High School. On June 26, 1943 he married Helen C. Jacobson of Sisseton, SD at Breckenridge, MN. Bill was in the US Army from 1944-1946 and was stationed in the Philippines. After being discharged, Bill and Helen made their home in Breckenridge, MN. He worked at Red River Jobbing and was later employed at the Wilkin Bar. He retired from the Wilkin Bar in 1986 after working there for 38 years.

Helen passed away in1992 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bill continued to live in Breckenridge until he lost his home to the flood of 1997. He then moved to Fargo, ND and lived with his daughter, Trudy Meyer, until his death. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Eagles # 2749. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality and the gift of gab. He loved people. He also enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and spending time with his family and friends.
