Christina Gullickson

February 6, 1909 — July 20, 2006

Christina Gullickson, 97, of Breckenridge, MN, formerly of Tintah, MN passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge, MN. Her funeral mass will be on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 10:00 AM at St. Gall's Catholic Church, Tintah, MN with Father Andrew Marthaler officiating. Interment will be at St. Gall's Catholic Cemetery, Tintah, MN.



Visitation will be on Friday, July 28, 2006 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral mass at the church.



Christina is survived by: her son, Gerald (Marlys)Gullickson, Apple Valley, MN; her two daughters, Shirley Frank, Donnelly, MN and Janice (Eugene) Klein, Hankinson, ND; Her daughter-in-law: Carol Gullickson, Danbury, WI; her 16 grandchildren; her 35 great-grandchildren; her two great-great grandchildren; her two step great-great grandchildren; Two sisters-in-law: Geneva Olson, Harris, MN and Dorothy Gullickson, St. Paul, MN; and Many nieces and nephews.



She was preceded by: her parents; her husband, Clarence Gullickson; her sons, Alfred and William Gullickson; a daughter in infancy, Kathleen; her five brothers, Jacob, Peter, Arthur, John, and Albert Trappen; her three sisters, Anna Baldy, Helena Pasch, Celia Mattson.



Christina was born on February 6, 1909 at Union Hill, MN to Bernard and Margaret (Eischens) Trappen. As a child they moved to Norcross, MN where she attended rural school in Grant County, MN. She then worked as a seamstress.



On August 21, 1930 she married Clarence Gullickson at Tintah, MN and they made their home on a farm near Norcross, MN. In 1959 they moved to Tintah, MN. She began working at St. Francis Home in Breckenridge, MN as the manager of the Laundry Department in 1958 where she worked until she retired in 1977. They continued living in Tintah until 1997 when they moved to St. Francis Home. Clarence preceded her in death on July 14, 1999.



Christina was a member of St. Gall's Catholic Church and enjoyed sewing, cooking, making quilts and gardening. Christina and Clarence both enjoyed dancing.



Pallbearers will be, Brian Gullickson, David Gullickson, Steven Gullickson, John Gullickson, Mark Frank, Daniel Frank, Peter Klein and Gabriel Gullickson
