Clarence Ueke, Fergus Falls, MN, died August 14, 2004 at the Broen Memorial Home, Fergus Falls, MN. His funeral will be held Thursday, August 19, 2004 at 11:00AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Breckenridge, Mn, with Father Ken Popp officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 18, from 4:00 PM to 8:00PM with a Funeral Vigil Service at 6:30PM and Rosary to follow at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge,MN. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Breckenridge, MN.

Clarence is survived by: His wife: Cordella "Della" Ueke, Fergus Falls, MN

He was preceded in death by:His parents: William & Emma Ueke; His brothers: William Ueke and George Ueke; His sisters: Clara Weber and Ann Krengel

Clarence Stanley Ueke was born on January 19, 1915 at Detroit Lakes, MN to William and Emma (Bauman) Ueke. He grew up on a farm near Callaway, MN and attended country school there. After schooling he worked on the farm with his brothers. At the age of 25, Clarence went to work on a farm at Felton, MN and later worked on another farm near Callaway, MN.

He was united in marriage to Cordella Rolfes on November 23, 1943 in Callaway, MN. The couple lived on a farm near Callaway until 1948 when Clarence took a position on the August Vagts farm near Breckenridge, MN.

Clarence began employment for St. Mary's Catholic Church in Breckenridge in 1950 and worked there as the custodian for the church, school, grounds keeper and cemetery maintenance for 30 years, retiring in 1980.

In 1982, Clarence and Della moved out to Deer Lake near Battle Lake, Mn. Clarence enjoyed fishing, gardening, and hunting. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Battle Lake, Mn and also the KC's.

Not having any children of their own, Clarence and Della became very attached to the many students that went to St. Mary's School, Breckenridge. He will always be remembered for his hard work and dedication to the church, school and it's students.

Clarence and Della resided at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls, MN
