Clifford O. Klein was born July 16, 1907, the son of Henry and Maggie Kleinheksel. He was born and raised in Archer, Iowa. On October 30, 1931, he was united in marriage to Violet Brown from Breckenridge,MN. The couple lived in Breckendge for a short time before moving to Pipestone, MN. They later returned to Breckenridge where he worked on the Great Northern Railroad. They owned and operated Cliff's Tailor Shop and Dry Cleaning in Breckenridge from 1934 until 1962 when they moved to southern California. Violet preceded him in death on August 6, 1994. For the past three years, Cliff has been living with his daughter Cherie Wilson. He died of pneumonia on April 27, 2004.
Clifford is survived by his 2 sons: C. Paul (Glenda) Klein, Redmond, Utah; Jerry (Kathy) Klein, Woodland Park, Colorado; His 2 daughters: Naida "Tudy" (George) Douglas, Canyon Lake, CA; Cherie (David) Wilson, Grand Terrace, California, His 17 grandchildren, His 40 grandchildren and his 5 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Maggie Kleinheksel, His wife, Violet Brown Klein, His daughter, Marcella Mae Klein and his son, Dennis C. Klein
Breckenridge services include a graveside service officiated by Pastor Michael Gustafson to be held Friday, May 7, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Riverside Cemetery, Breckenridge, MN.
