History:          Dale was born October 8, 1933, the son of Henry "Harry" and Mary (Sedivy) Busko in Breckenridge, MN. He grew up in Breckenridge and attended elementary school at St. John's Catholic School in Wahpeton, ND and St. Mary's Catholic School in Breckenridge. He furthered his education at Breckenridge High School, graduating from there in 1951. Dale entered the U. S. Air Force on February 1, 1952 at Minneapolis, MN. He was stationed at Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois and Mather Air Force Base in Sacramento, California. He served 20 months in Japan. Dale was honorably discharged on December 22, 1955 from Parks AFB in California. Dale then returned to Breckenridge and worked for the Great Northern Railroad.

On October 18, 1956, Dale was united in marriage to Patricia "Pat" Johnson at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Breckenridge, where the couple made their home and raised their family. In 1958 Dale began 30 years of employment with the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier in Breckenridge, walking an estimated 88,000 miles during those years. He retired from the Postal Service in 1988 and has done numerous part time jobs since then.

Dale was a Life Member of the VFW and a Past Commander for American Legion Post # 53. He was a member of the Military Order of Cooties Pup Tent #3 and the International War Veterans Alliance. Dale served for 40 years as a member of the Breckenridge Military Honor Guard. He was also a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers and the Breckenridge Senior Citizens Center.
