David West, 65, of rural Nashua, MN, died January 13, 2005 at Breckenridge, MN. The funeral will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at 10:30 AM at St. Gall's Catholic Church in Tintah, MN. Officiating will be Fr. Andrew Marthaler and Fr. Stan Wieser. Visitation will be

Monday, January 17, 2005, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN; and from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM with Prayer Service at 8:00 PM at St. Gall's Catholic Church,Tintah. Interment will follow at St. Gall's Catholic Cemetery.

David is survived by: His wife: Jane West, Rural Nashua, MN; His son: Tracy West, Breckenridge, MN; His 3 daughters: Therese and Valerie at home; and Stephanie (Paul) Rivers,      Breckenridge, MN, and their pet dog, Lady. His brother: Duane (Juanita) West, Longmont, CO; His sisters: Marlys (Gene) Herman, Palmdale, CA; and Marilyn (Don) Hensch, Fargo, ND; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by: His parents: Herbert and Frances West; His 3 brothers: Clayton and George "Darwin" West and Art Cooper. His 2 sisters: Carolyn in infancy and Maxine.

David Lee West was born August 16, 1939 in St. Cloud, MN, the son of Herbert and Frances (Koziol) West. As an infant he moved with his family to the home farm near Nashua, MN. He grew up on the farm and attended school in Tintah, MN, graduating in 1957. David then worked as a farm laborer in the area until entering the

U. S. Army in 1958. He worked as a clerk and was stationed in Germany. David was discharged from the Army in 1960. He returned to Nashua, and was united in marriage to Jane Buscher on September 7, 1960 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Breckenridge, MN. The couple made their home on the farm near Nashua, where they farmed with his father and brother, Darwin. David enjoyed his family. His wife, three daughters and son always worked and played together. They were active members of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Minnesota Vikings fans. David always enjoyed his annual Elk hunt in Colorado.
