Edna "Tiny" Rehm, 82, Battle Lake, MN, formerly of Breckenridge, MN died on Monday September 5, 2005 at Lake Region Hospital, Fergus Falls, MN. The funeral will be on Thursday, September 8, 2005 at 10:30 A. M. at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Breckenridge, MN. Father Paul Folsom will be officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 7, 2005 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Breckenridge, MN.
Edna is survived by her children: Faye Rehm, Battle Lake, MN, Richard (Debbra) Rehm, Franklin, TN, Pamela (Al)Samuelson, Otter Tail City, MN, Dana (Char) Rehm, Cambridge, MN, Don Rehm, Wisconsin Dells, WI; her 9 grandchildren; her 16 great-grandchildren; her 2 sisters, Helen Albright and Doris Ludwig, both of St. Paul, MN; and her special friend, Delores Werpy, Battle Lake, MN.
Edna was preceded by, her parents, Henry and Annetta Hingst; her husband, Florian "Pee Wee" Rehm; her sister, Hazel Synestegaard.
Edna "Tiny" Hingst was born December 30, 1922 in Fergus Falls, MN, the daughter of Henry and Annetta (Gaarsland) Hingst. She attended school in Fergus Falls and in Northfield, MN. Tiny then organized a traveling band in the Fergus Falls area and played piano and accordion at many weddings, on the radio and at the Fergus Falls roller skating rink. She was married to Florian "Pee Wee" Rehm on July 9, 1940 in Breckenridge, MN. They made their home and raised their family in Breckenridge. "Tiny" and "Pee Wee" owned and operated Pee Wee's Bowling Lane and Scotchman's Bar in Breckenridge. Pee Wee preceded her in death on December 2, 1973. Tiny continued to live in Breckenridge until 1979. She then traveled and spent time with her family. The past 8 years she has lived in Battle Lake, MN.
Tiny enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling. Her greatest love was her music.
