Fredda Larson, 90, of Breckenridge, MN, formerly of Doran, MN, died January 13, 2005 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Her funeral will be Monday, January 17, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Breckenridge, MN, with Pastor Tim Ysteboe officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 16, 2005, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge.
Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Breckenridge, MN.
Fredda is survived by: Her daughters: Fernella Poppe, Lafayette, IN; Karen (Sam) Kremer, Lamont, IA; and Mary (Charles) Salvi, Fargo, ND; Her son-in-law: Charles (Phyllis) Green, Fargo, ND; Her 15 grandchildren; Her 29 great-grandchildren; Her two sisters: Fern Leinen, Breckenridge, MN; and Edith Unise, Grenville, SD; Her brother-in-law: Sam Wiertzema, Breckenridge, MN; Many nieces and nephews,
She was preceded by: Her husband: George Larson; Her two daughters: Norma Green and Kathleen Larson; Her granddaughter: Dawn Raftevold; Her parents: Frank and Dora Pasch; Her sister: Anna Wiertzema; Her 4 brothers: Edwin, Erwin, Melvin and Lloyd Pasch.
Fredda was born February 5, 1914 to Frank and Dora (Kranhold) Pasch near Doran, MN. She grew up on the family farm and attended the Doran Consolidated Schools (also known as District 71.) Fredda was baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian faith and was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Doran, MN. On June 14, 1933, she was united in marriage to George Marvin Larson by the Reverend Herbert Cox in her parent's home in Doran, MN. To this union five daughters were born, --Fernella, Norma, Karen, Mary and Kathleen. They lived on a farm west of Doran until they moved into the city of Doran in 1962. Fredda worked at St. Francis Hospital from 1962 until 1968. She then worked as Postmaster in Doran until 1979. George preceded her in death in 1970. Fredda continued living in Doran until 1985, when she moved to the York Manor in Breckenridge. In 1999, she moved in to the Apple tree Court in Breckenridge.
Fredda enjoyed quilting, crocheting, playing cards and scrap booking. She was a former member of the Brandrup Homemakers and Doran Presbyterian Church Ladies Aid.
In Lieu of flowers the family wishes memorials to be given to the American Cancer Society and the Doran Presbyterian Church.
