History:     Helen Fleming Hulne was born to H. A. and Catherine (Murray) Fleming in Breckenridge, Minnesota on August 18, 1923. She attended St. Mary's and the local high school in Breckenridge. Helen was married to Joseph Hulne on November 20, 1941 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Breckenridge. She moved to a farm near Abercrombie, ND with her husband. After two years she moved to a farm in Mitchell Township in Minnesota, where she lived for 25 years. Then she moved to a farm in Roberts Township where she lived until she moved back to Breckenridge in 1998.

Helen enjoyed many things throughout her life. She belonged to St. Thomas Church in Kent, where she was a member of Christian Mothers, Foresters and was active in all church activities. She was also very active in 4H, being a leader for many years. She made wedding cakes for many of her 4H girls and many are still married to each other so she called them her lucky cakes! She enjoyed sewing, gardening, painting, playing cards and other games. In her later years, she was involved in making crafts, many of which ended up on the "cherry tree" for the annual St. Thomas Church Bazaar.

Helen and her husband enjoyed traveling around the country for many years in their motor home, finally buying a trailer house in Texas where she spent many winters. In the summer, she enjoyed fishing and partying at the lake with friends, children and grandchildren.
