Helen Summerville, 83, rural Campbell, MN, died February 19, 2005 at Meritcare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at 2:00 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Breckenridge, MN, with Fr. Kenneth Popp officiating. Visitation will be Monday, February 21, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a prayer Service at 7:00 PM and Christian Mother's Rosary at 6:30 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge. There will also be visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Breckenridge.
Helen is survived by her four Sons: Thomas (Shirley) Summerville, Fargo, ND; Kelly (Linda) Summerville, Circle Pines, MN; Gary (Gail) Summerville, Stillwater, MN; Tyler (Vicky) Summerville, Breckenridge, MN; Two Daughters: Mary (Paul) Friederichs, Breckenridge, MN; Linda Grant, Moorhead, MN; 17 Grandchildren; 16 Great-Grandchildren; Two Sisters: Louise Wieser, Breckeridge, MN; Verna Mikesh, St. Paul, MN

Helen was born on January 8, 1922 to Adolph and Anna (Sedivy) Mikesh near Breckenridge, MN. She grew up near Doran and attended school in Doran and graduated from Breckenridge High School. Helen was united in marriage to John Summerville on February 5, 1942 at Breckenridge. The couple then lived on their farm near Doran to raise their family. In the early 1970's Helen began working at St. Francis Nursing Home and worked there for 14 years. After her employment at St. Francis Nursing Home she devoted her life to the care of her husband, John, who passed away on November 26, 1979.
Helen enjoyed baking, gardening, flowers, and canning. She also enjoyed quilting and her collection of cats, frogs, and chickens. Helen most enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and cats. Helen's nineteen courageous years of fighting cancer ended on February 19, 2005.
