Hilda Boll, 79, of Wahpeton, ND, formerly of Breckenridge, MN, died December 23, 2004, at her home in Wahpeton. The funeral for Hilda will be Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at 2:00 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Breckenridge, MN, with St. Francis Medical Center Pastoral Assistant, Peggy Rezac officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Wahpeton, ND.
Hilda is survived by her son, Richard (Lori) Boll, Vergas, MN; and her 3 daughters: Vicki (Scott) Forbes, Edina, MN; Katie Boll, Fergus Falls, MN; and Becky Boll, Breckenridge, MN; Her 2 grandchildren: Jeffrey and Emily; and her sister: Esther Bowman, Aberdeen, SD. She was preceded by: Her husband: Ted "Bud" Boll; Her parents: George and Lydia Martell; Her brother: Alvin Martell; and Her sister: Sophie Hofer
Hilda was born July 20, 1925, the daughter of George and Lydia (Vilhauer) Martell at Roscoe, SD. She grew up and attended school there, and later moved to Aberdeen, SD with her family. She was united in marriage to Theodore Boll on February 15, 1948 in Breckenridge, MN, where the couple also made their home and raised their 4 children. Hilda was employed by the Breckenridge School in the dietary department and Bud worked for the Great Northern Railroad. In 1977, they moved to Wahpeton, ND. Ted passed away on July 21, 1990 and thereafter Hilda has resided in Wahpeton. She enjoyed doing needlework; watching the Minnesota Vikings with her friends and watching her grandchildren grow up.
