History: James George Terhurne was born on September 28, 1943 at Jackson, Mississippi to George and Alice (Wagner) Terhurne. As an infant his family moved to Breckenridge. He attended St. Mary?s School and later attended Breckenridge Public School. He graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1961. He then attended the Vocational Rehab in Fergus Falls, MN and then the Gillette Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.

He returned to Breckenridge in 1965 and worked for the Stratford Hotel. He then began working at the Law Enforcement Center when it was located in the Wilkin County Jail. He married Audrey Plettl on February 15, 1974 and they made their home in Breckenridge. On January 13, 1997 he married Toni Courson and continued to reside in Breckenridge.

He was a former member of the Eagles Aiere 2749. He loved to play bingo, cards, and watch the Minnesota Vikings. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing at the lake, and the time that he spent with his family.
