Jerry Thomas

Jerry Thomas, 48, of Fargo , ND , died November 15, 2008 at Meritcare South University Campus, Fargo.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 5:00 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Breckenridge , MN . Pastor Dan Kuik will be officiating.

There will be visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery , Breckenridge , MN

Jerry was born on March 27, 1960 to Mailen and Erma (DeFries) Thomas on a military base in Japan . After moving from there to Georgia and Indiana, the family moved to Breckenridge in 1964. In 1968, they moved to Moorhead , MN where Jerry grew up and attended high school and got his GED. He was a truck driver for many years with E.W. Wylie. Later in life, he attended NDSCS and received his Associates Degree in computer programming. After college he worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota.

Jerry was united in marriage to Kathleen Cullen on June 19, 2004 at Ewen Park in Fargo . They have since lived in Fargo . Jerry was an avid Harley rider, football, and drag racing fanatic and did a lot of these activities with his family and best friend, “Razz.” His greatest love was his family and friends.

Jerry is survived by: His wife: Kathleen Cullen, Fargo , ND ; His step-daughter: Maria Anderson/Cullen, Fargo , ND ; His father: Mailen (Donna) Thomas, Bradenton , FL ; His sister: Judy Westrick, Fargo , ND ; His nephews: Mitch, John, and Jake Westrick, all of Fargo , ND ; His best friend: Gregg “Razz” Rasmussen, Fargo , ND ; His many cousins.

He was preceded in death by: His mother: Erma Thomas; His grandparents: Jerry and Jenny DeFries, June Hunt, and Gene Thomas
