Jonathan James Krause, 18, Breckenridge, MN, died February 28, 2007 at his home in Breckenridge.
Jonathan was born May 6, 1988, in Breckenridge, MN, the son of Arnold and Cheryl (Loll) Krause. He was raised and educated in Breckenridge, and was especially close to his school mentor, Marnie, whose company he enjoyed as she did his.
When he was young, Jonathan was in Tae Kwon Do. In the fourth grade he began wrestling with the Breckenridge Youth Wrestling Program and wrestled until 2005. Jonathan then worked at Econofoods, and was also employed by the Wahpeton Armory, Trophy's Restaurant and Nutrition Services Inc. at the Breckenridge Senior Center. When Jonathan was very young, he worked at Loll's Resort on Pickerel Lake.
Jonathan was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Duck's Unlimited, was a former Boy Scout and member of the Breckenridge Cowboy Wrestling team. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his grandpa and hunting and fishing buddies, Tyler and Corey. He especially enjoyed his hunting trips to Nebraska with his grandpa. Jonathan enjoyed story telling and would help anyone in need.
Jonathan treasured the time he spent with friends and touched the lives of most everyone he knew. His uplifting smile will be dearly missed.
Jonathan is survived by: His mother and step-father: Cheryl and Steve Ziegelmann, Breckenridge, MN; His three brothers: Jason, Justin and Jordan Krause, Breckenridge; His half-sister: Amanda Krause, Nashua, MN; His maternal grandparents: Duane and Mary Loll, Fergus Falls, MN; His paternal grandparents: Melvin and Corinne Krause, Pelican Rapids, MN; His step-brothers: Christopher Ziegelmann, Moorhead, MN and Aaron Ziegelmann, Breckenridge, MN; His step-sisters: Nicole Ziegelmann, Wahpeton, ND and Jessica Ziegelmann, Breckenridge, MN; His many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father: Arnold Krause
Visitation: Sunday, March 4, 2007 - 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Prayer Service at 7:00 PM with Time of Remembrance at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN
There will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the church
