History:     Joseph Carl Riveland was born February 7, 1983 in Breckenridge, MN. He attended Breckenridge Elementary School and graduated from Barnesville High School in 2002. Joey was active in track and choir in Barnesville, and played guitar and piano. Following graduation he attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Joey went on to continue his education at Lakes Area Technical Institute in Watertown, SD where he was active on the Student Campus Activity Board and captain of his softball team.

Joseph was very outgoing and was a "people person." Those who knew Joey loved him. He was always willing to help others, and always made time to spend with his nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Wahpeton, ND.
