Lena Bey, 85, Elk River, MN, formerly of Breckenridge, MN, died July 7, 2005 at Guardian Angels Care Center, Elk River, MN. The funeral will be held on Monday, July 11, 2005 at 10:00 A. M. at Living Waters Church, Elk River, MN. Officiating is Rev. Bob Pullar. Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral at the church. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Breckenridge, MN at 4:00 P.M.
Lena is survived by:Her four children: Carol Jewett (Ron Strnad) Sun City West, AZ; Ruth Hebrank (Al), Seattle, WA; Mary Wagner (Lanny) Billings, MT; Thomas Bey, Coon Rapids, MN; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bertha Watson, Milwaukee, WI

Lena was born July 1, 1920 to Peter and Sophie (Heidt) Rennick in Bismarck, ND. She attended school there and for many years worked on her father's farm. On December 22, 1943 she married Henry Bey in St. Paul, MN. She resided in Breckenridge, MN from the early 1940's until April, 1997, when she lost her home in the flood. She moved to Billings, MT in 1997 and in 1999 she moved to Guardian Angels Care Center in Elk River, where she resided until her death.
Her husband, Henry, owned Hank's Radio & TV in Breckenridge until he lost his eyesight and became a piano tuner. Lena assisted him in his piano tuning business.
Lena worked as a nursing assistant at St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge for over 25 years. She worked from 1978 until 1982 for 3M at the Wahpeton, ND plant.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Valley Christian Assembly Church in Breckenridge, MN.
