History: Leo J. Pazdernik was born October 20, 1908 on the home farm near Breckenridge, MN, the son of Joseph and Christina (Bolik) Pazdernik. He grew up on the farm and attended country school south of Breckenridge.
Following his schooling, he remained on the farm and worked with his family. Leo's father, Joseph, passed away in 1966, and Leo and his brother, Louis, continued living on the farm and caring for their mother. Leo retired from farming in the 1980's. He lived on the farm until he became a resident of St. Catherine's Living Center in October, 2000.
Leo liked working with farm machinery. He would spend a lot of time repairing, painting and doing maintenance on the machines. He liked to pass time by writing down weather facts of each day, along with his daily journaling. He also entered sweepstakes and did a lot of mail ordering and answering mail. Leo also loved vegetable gardening. Family members will remember him as a very caring, loving and generous man.
Leo was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Breckenridge.
