History:     Mae was born April 2, 1908 in Winona, MN, the daughter of John and Cecelia (Herrick) Kukowski. She attended school through the 8th grade. Mae was united in marriage to Edward A. Neumann on July 8, 1926 in Fergus Falls, MN. The couple moved to Wahpeton, ND where Edward worked as a mechanic. They later moved to a farm east of Erhard, MN. In 1942, they moved to their farm in Manston Township in Wilkin County, where they lived and farmed until Edward died on October 1, 1973. Mae continued living on the farm until 1977, when she moved to the York Manor in Breckenridge, MN. She became a resident of St. Francis Home in Breckenridge in December, 2002.

Mae was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Breckenridge, St. Ann's Mission Circle and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She enjoyed making crafts, sewing and playing Bingo.
