Margaret Tehle, 95, Breckenridge, MN, died April 21, 2008 at St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge.
Her funeral will be Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis Healthcare Campus Chapel, Breckenridge, with Pastor Terry Tilton officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Breckenridge, MN.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 22, from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN.
Margaret is survived by: Her daughter: Marlyce (Stan) Carlsrud, Breckenridge, MN; Her 6 grandchildren: Ordean Carlsrud, Albuquerque, NM; Dennis Carlsrud, Breckenridge, MN; Lisa (Bob) Rugenstein, Wahpeton, ND; Nancy (Ken) Geesey, and Casey and Ross, Hankinson, ND; Linda (Kirk) Loewen, & Katelyn, Kalvin and Kirstan, Hankinson, ND; Sherry Carlsrud and her partner, Stacy A., Moorhead, MN;
She was preceded in death by: Her parents: Wenzel and Mary Tehle; Her husband: Alvin Tehle
Margaret was born February 26, 1913 near Brushvale, MN to Wenzel and Mary (Brush) Tehle. She grew up and attended country school and later attended school in Breckenridge, MN. Following her formal education, Margaret worked at home until her marriage to Charles Lennartz. They lived near Brushvale.
On July 10, 1943 Margaret married Alvin Tehle at Milbank, SD. They made their home in Breckenridge where Margaret worked as a clerk at various stores in town. She then became employed at St. Francis Home where she did baking until her retirement. Alvin preceded her in death on June 23, 1989. Margaret continued living in Breckenridge until she became a resident of St. Francis Home in July, 2004.
Margaret was a member of the United Methodist Church, UMC Women and the American Legion Auxiliary in Breckenridge, and the Minn-Kota Homemakers. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, baking, watching birds and cherished her special memories that were made with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
