Marguerite Schneider, 85, Breckenridge, MN, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton, ND. Funeral services will be on Monday, June 9, 2008 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Breckenridge, MN with Father Ken Popp officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 8, 2008 from 4 PM to 8 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM and a Christian Mother's Rosary at 4:30 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN. There will also be visitation from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM Monday prior to the service at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Breckenridge, MN.

Marguerite Ann Bailey was born October 1, 1922 at Fergus Falls, MN to Joyce Nelson and Mildred (Carter) Bailey. After graduation from the Fergus Falls schools, she married Louis "Dick" Schneider on April 26, 1941 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Breckenridge. She had worked at St. Francis Hospital, St. Francis Home and the Wilkin County Farm Bureau. As long as her health permitted, she was very active in community and church affairs. Marguerite always enjoyed dancing, camping and family gatherings.

Marguerite is survived by, her two sons and daughters-in-law: Gerald "G. B." and Bonnie Schneider, Breckenridge, MN, Dale and Deb Schneider, Fergus Falls, MN; her six daughters and sons-in-law: Christie and Myron "Mike" Kuebler, Hayward, WI, Diana Crandell, West Lynn , OR; Marsha and Claus Lembke, Bismarck, ND, Claudia and Darrel Andel, Gulfport, MS, Coletta and Ron German, Hankinson, ND, Karla and Steve Miller, West Fargo, ND; her 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; her sister-in-law: Mary Lewenetz, Florida, Bette Bailey, Battle Lake, MN, Agnes Monday, Bentonville, VA; many nieces and nephews who were very special to her; her foster sister, Marian James, Riverside, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce and Mildred Bailey; her husband, Louis "Dick" Schneider; her sister, Shirley Vanderwerff; her brother, Jim Bailey; her two grandsons, Vince Myron Kuebler, Tim Myron Kuebler; her great-grandson, Jeremiah Carl East; her son-in-law, Mel Crandell; Her foster sister: Lolly Steussy
