Marjorie E. Peschel, 79, of Breckenridge, MN, died January 4, 2005 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. The funeral will be Saturday, January 8, 2005 at

11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Breckenridge.

Fr. Kenneth Popp will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2005, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a Christian Mothers Rosary at 4:30 P.M. and Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. at     Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge. There will also be visitation on Saturday morning at the funeral home, beginning at 8:30 A.M. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Wahpeton, ND.

Marjorie is survived by: Her 7 children and 13 grandchildren: Barbara Coeterier (special friend, Robert Scheller) Grand Forks, ND, and her children Brianna Coeterier (fiancAsh, Randall Wood) and Tiffany (Jonathan) Mullins; Mark Peschel Jr. (wife, Nina Hakanson) St. Paul, MN, and their children, Anna and Emily Peschel; Thomas (Denise) Peschel, Breckenridge, MN, and their children, Sherry, Karie (Jojo) Yawson, and Thomas Peschel Jr.; Mary (Wayne) Kappes, Breckenridge, MN, and their children, Christopher (Danette Rabbithead), Melissa, and Timothy Kappes; Margaret (Brian) Larson, Breckenridge, MN and their son Jacob; John Peschel, St. Paul, MN; Paul (Kathleen) Peschel, El Centro, CA, and their children, Aaron and Kimberly Peschel. Her great-grandchildren: Alexis and Roark Wood, Guinnevere Mullins, and expected great-grandson Caden Kappes (Jan. 2005). Her brothers: Francis (Henrietta) Flynn, Sarasota FL; Robert Flynn, St. Louis MO.

She was preceded by: Her parents: Francis and Eleanor Flynn; Her husband: Mark Peschel; Her brothers: James in infancy, and John



History:     Marjorie was born January 10, 1925 in Wahpeton, ND, the daughter of Francis and Eleanor (Riba) Flynn. In 1942, she graduated from St. Francis High School in Little Falls, MN. Marjorie furthered her education at St. Francis School of Nursing in Breckenridge, graduating in 1945. Immediately after graduating from nursing school, she worked as a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital. On June 11, 1947, Marjorie was united in marriage to Mark Peschel. They made their home in Breckenridge, where they raised their family of 7 children. Marjorie had an abiding love for her entire family and gave selflessly to others. She enjoyed endless hours of interaction with her family as shown by the numerous tattered family games (particularly Scrabble) stacked in her closet.

Marjorie was an active member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Breckenridge, where she served as both a lector and Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the choir, guild, Social Concerns Committee, Christian Mothers, and Catholic Daughters. Other activities she enjoyed included exercising, walking, biking, swimming, piano, and learning the computer.
