Mary Barth, 78, of Wahpeton, ND, died Wednesday, February 22, 2006, at St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge, MN. Visitation will be Sunday, February 26, 2006 from 5 PM to 7:30 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service and a Christian Mother's Rosary at 5:30 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home,Breckenridge, MN. Funeral service will be     Monday, February 27, 2006 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Breckenridge, MN with Father Kenneth Popp officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Breckenridge, MN

Mary was born on October 13, 1927 to Jacob and Margaret (Keaveny) Schauff in Breckenridge, MN. They lived in Tintah, MN and Cogswell, ND and she graduated from high school in 1945. She then attended Moorhead State Teacher's College. She taught at a rural school north of Wheaton, MN.

On September 27, 1947 she was united in marriage to Robert Barth at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Breckenridge. They farmed in the Doran and Campbell area. Robert preceded her in death on March 17, 1997. She continued living in Doran, MN until 2004, when she moved to Wahpeton, ND.

Mary worked for 21 years with Red River Human Services until she retired in January 2006. She enjoyed working with the developmentally disabled. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Lady Catholic Foresters, and the VFW Auxiliary of Breckenridge. She had an interest in history and traveling and she enjoyed attending the Keaveny reunions. She truly enjoyed the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter: Bobbi Ann (Robert) Shelstad of West Fargo, ND; her five sons: Bruce (Barbara) Barth of Park Rapids, MN; Mark Barth of Richmond, ME;           Steve (Lorelie) Barth of Brandon, SD; Tom (Debbie) Barth of Morristown, MN, Jeff (Karin) Barth of Swanville, MN; her nineteen grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Cindy Billmark, Alexandria, MN; her sister, Cecilia Schmitz, Howard Lake, MN; and a special family friend Dawn and Al Walker and their son, Alie, Naperville, IL

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert D. Barth; her son, Joe; her infant son, Harvey; her granddaughter, Shannon Barth; her grandson, Josh Barth; her great-grandson, Anton Falzerano; her daughter-in-law, Linda Larson.
