Monica Schill

March 9, 1950 — September 27, 2008

Monica Lee Schill, 58, of Breckenridge, MN, died Saturday, September 27, 2008 at St. Catherine’s Living Center in Wahpeton, ND.



Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 1, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wahpeton, with Fr. Dale Lagodinski officiating.



Visitation will be Tuesday September 30, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Wahpeton, from 5:00 to 8:00pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm. There will also be visitation for one hour prior to the funeral at the church.



Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery , Breckenridge , MN .



Monica is survived by: Her husband: Don of Breckenridge, MN; Her 2 daughters: Heidi (Paul) Agee of Minneapolis, MN and their son Jackson; Whitney Schill of Wahpeton, ND and her 2 daughters Alivia and Ai’Shay, and Whitney’s special friend Bill Oliver; Her 3 sisters: Joyce (Selmer) Severson of Michigan, ND; Charolette Burt of Devils Lake, ND; Marilyn (Lenard) Bachmeier of Forest Lake, MN; and several nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by: Her parents Ralph and Ann Hatten; Her sister: Peggy Eidsness; and two brothers: Neil and Duane Hatten.



Monica was born March 9, 1950 to Ralph and Ann (Cole) Hatten at Devils Lake , ND . She grew up and attended school at Southham and Lakota, ND. In 1968 she graduated from Lakota High School , and then went on to Valley City State College graduating in 1971. In three years at VCSC, Monica earned her Elementary Education Degree. She then earned her Special Education Degree through Moorhead State University . Monica taught Elementary/Middle School and Special Ed. for 34 years.



On November 27, 1970, Monica was joined in marriage to Donald Schill at Lakota. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, spending time at the lake, embroidering, and had a special gift for painting wood crafts. Monica’s three grandbabies were what she held dearest to her heart.
