Paul H. Mandelke, 53, of Breckenridge, MN, died September 17, 2005 at St. Francis Nursing Home, Breckenridge, MN. His funeral will be held on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005 at 11:00am at St. John's Catholic Church, Wahpeton, ND with Fr. Dale Lagodinski officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN. There will also be visitation 1 hour prior to the funeral at the church on Thursday morning. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Falls, MN.

Paul is survived by: His daughters: Sara Ann (fiancee, Seth Hendrickson), of Las Vegas, NV; and Amanda Jane, Breckenridge, MN; His grandson: Cayden Paul Hendrickson of Las Vegas, NV; His brothers: Jerry (Sylvia) Mandelke of Olympia, WA; Bernie (Carol) Mandelke of Villa Rica, GA; Dave (Sandie) Mandelke of Fergus Falls, MN; John (Darlene) Mandelke of Dalton, MN; His sisters: Ginger Sanderson of Banning, CA; Jane Brown of Lake Park, MN; His sister-in-law: Chris Mandelke of Fergus Falls, MN; Many nieces and nephews

Paul Harold Mandelke was born December 28, 1951 in Fergus Falls, MN to Joe and Doris (Jenne) Mandelke. He was raised on a farm near Broken Down Dam and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1971. Paul was employed at Fergus Concrete Products until moving to Breckenridge in 1990. He then began employment at St. Francis Healthcare Campus in the Plant Operations unit. Paul was also employed part-time at York Manor and at Park Manor in Breckenridge. Paul was a member of the Wilkin Co. Sheriff's Posse and the Eagles Club of Wahpeton. He enjoyed riding his Harley and camping in his motor home. Paul also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and above all spending time with his friends and family, especially his new grandson, Cayden.

Paul was an inspiration to many with his positive attitude and strong determination to enjoy life to the fullest. On Saturday, September 17, 2005 Paul lost his battle with cancer.
