Phyllis King, 44, Wyndmere, ND, died February 20, 2006 at her home in Wyndmere, ND, surrounded by her family, with the support of Hospice Care of the Red River Valley. Her funeral will be held Saturday, February 25, 2006, at 10:30 A. M. at St. John's Catholic Church, Wyndmere, ND, with Fr. Leonard Loegering officiating.

Visitation will be Friday, February 24, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at St. John's Catholic Church, Wyndmere.

Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Wyndmere, ND.

She is survived by: Her husband: Bernard King, Wyndmere, ND; Her 3 children: Sherri, Stephanie and Summer King, Wyndmere, ND; Her parents: Maurice and Dorothy Braun, Rosholt, SD; Her 3 sisters: Joyce (Wayne) Metzen, Wahpeton, ND; Marlys (Bill) Nicolai, Milnor, ND;      Natalie (Mike) Fulton, Paraparaumu Wellington, New Zealand; Her brother: Tim Braun, Rosholt, SD; Her 4 sisters-in-law: Laureen (Greg) Puetz; Lenore King, Leila (Paul) Ptacek, Lynette (Ryan) Pinkham; Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded by: Her infant sister: Mary Braun; Her mother and father-in-law: Harry and Gloria King; Her grandparents: Joseph and Rose Scholl and Henry and Mary Braun

Phyllis was born September 2, 1961, in Breckenridge, MN, the daughter of Maurice and Dorothy (Scholl) Braun. She grew up and attended school in Rosholt, SD, graduating in 1980. She then worked at various jobs in Wahpeton, ND. Phyllis was married to Bernard King on October 5, 1985, at St. Mary's Church in Breckenridge. They made their home in Wyndmere, ND. Phyllis worked in the dietary department at St. Francis Home and at St. Catherine's Living Center. She was also an Avon representative for 17 years.

Phyllis was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Wyndmere. She enjoyed gardening and canning, playing cards, visiting, fishing and time spent with her family. Phyllis especially enjoyed following her daughter's school activities.
