Rick Barth, 46, Breckenridge, MN, died June 14, 2007 at his residence in Breckenridge.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Bethel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, ND. Pastor Peter Schmidt will be officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 19, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Breckenridge.
Rick is survived by: His twin sons: Connor and Cody, Appleton, MN; His mother: Vonnie (Gary) Goetz, West Fargo, ND; His father: Cliff (Krista) Barth, Breckenridge, MN; His 2 brothers: Randy (Kimberly) Barth, Gladstone, MO; and Todd Barth, Dalton, MN; His sister: Tracey (Jack) McLagan, Billings, MT; His 4 nieces and 3 nephews. He was preceded by: His grandparents.
Rick Dean Barth was born March 17, 1961 in Breckenridge, MN. He was raised and educated in Breckenridge, graduating from Breckenridge High School in 1979. He then began 26 years of employment at Minn-Dak Farmers Co-op in Wahpeton, ND. While working at Minn-Dak he furthered his education by taking the electrical course at NDSCS, from which he received his associate degree.
On June 5, 1995, he married Susan Landsgaard at Bethel Lutheran Church in Wahpeton. They made their home in Wahpeton. To this marriage, twin sons were born in 1997. Rick moved to Breckenridge in 2001, where he has since resided.
Rick enjoyed bow hunting, fishing, body building, sports and riding his motorcycle. The highlights of his life came from times he spent with his two sons, Connor and Cody.
