For two years she lived in St. Paul, MN, where two of her brothers lived, returning to Park River in 1936. Ruby was married to Roy Ratliff on December 14, 1936. They lived in Park River for three years before moving to Wahpeton, ND. In 1945, they moved to Breckenridge, MN. Ruby began working in the Housekeeping department at St. Francis Home in 1962.
