Ruth Danner, 98, of Wahpeton, ND, formerly of Wyndmere, ND died December 3, 2004 at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton, ND. Her funeral will be Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Breckenridge, MN. Pastor Jack Carlson will officiate.
Visitation will be Monday, December 6, 2004, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM atJoseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN. Visitation will resume Tuesday morning at the funeral home, beginning at 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral. Interment will be at Elk Creek Cemetery, Wyndmere, ND
Ruth is survived by Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her husband: Clifford Danner; Her parents: Elias and Augusta Erickson; Her 8 brothers: Alfred, Roy, Walter, Ben, Kenneth, Alvin, Ernest, Francis and one brother in infancy, Raymond; Her 4 sisters: Florence, Vera, Nora and Viola
Ruth Mae Danner was born June 12, 1906, the daughter of Elias and Augusta (Peterson)Erickson in Homestead Township, near Wyndmere, ND. She grew up on the farm, attended Homestead Township School, and then worked as a nanny for families in the Wyndmere area. Ruth was united in marriage to Clifford Danner on October 14, 1929 at Wyndmere. The couple made their home in Wyndmere and Ruth worked for Dr. R. M. Johnson in his dental clinic and as a housekeeper in his home. She was also the bookkeeper for her husband's dray line business. Cliff preceded her in death on December 23, 1984. Ruth continued to live in Wyndmere until July, 1995, when she moved to St. Catherine's in Wahpeton.
Ruth was also involved with the Richland County Museum and Elk Creek Memorial Cemetery Association. She will be remembered for her love of entertaining and visiting with her family and friends, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
