History:     Selma was born January 13, 1906 at Kindred, ND, the daughter of Olaf and Bolette (Otterson) Anderson. She grew up and attended school in the Kindred area. Selma later moved to Sheyenne Township near McLeod, ND. She was united in marriage to Andrew "Andy" Erickson on October 24, 1928 at McLeod. The couple lived on a farm near McLeod and later moved into McLeod. Selma cared for elderly people in her own home at that time. McLeod was always known as a friendly town. Selma contributed greatly by being known as everyone's friend. Her warm all-embracing smile was readily available.



Andy preceded her in death on June 18, 1975. Selma continued living at McLeod until April, 1992, when she moved to St. Catherine's Living Center in Wahpeton, ND. Selma enjoyed caring for her flowers and pets. She also liked to dance.
