Sharon Meyer, 63, of Breckenridge, MN passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2005, at St. Francis Healthcare Campus in Breckenridge. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Breckenridge, MN with Father Kenneth Popp officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Breckenridge, MN. Visitation will be Friday, July 22, 2005 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM and a Christian Mothers Rosary at 4:30 PM at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Sharon was born on August 4, 1941 to Raymond and Mabel (Haugen) Brendefur in Tintah, MN. As a child she moved with her family to Campbell, MN where she grew up and attended school.
Sharon was united in marriage to Richard Meyer on January 16, 1960 at St. John's Catholic Church in Wahpeton. They lived in Wahpeton until 1966 when they moved to Breckenridge. Sharon worked as a waitress for several years and in 1981 she purchased Cal's Diner in Breckenridge. She also worked for Seeds 2000 in Breckenridge.
Sharon was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Red Hats Society, and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed cooking and visiting with her many friends and family. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy.
Sharon is survived by: her husband: Richard, Breckenridge, MN; her children, Richard (Janet) Meyer, Breckenridge, MN and their children Aaron and Isaac; Threse (Dean) Osmondson, Fergus Falls, MN and their child, Cameron; Brent (Christal) Meyer, Fergus Falls, MN; Scott Meyer, Breckenridge, MN and his daughters Jessica and Brittney; Travis (Amy) Meyer, Wahpeton, ND and their children, Daniel, Jacob, and Abby; her two sisters, Karon Meyer, Wahpeton, ND; Margaret (Darrell) Nulph, Campbell, MN; her four brothers, Alan Brendefur, Kingsland, TX; Lloyd (Leona) Brendefur, Sheridan, WY; Wayne (Carol) Brendefur, Campbell, MN; Bruce Brendefur, Campbell, MN
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Gary Brendefur.
