Vicki was born on September 24, 1954 in Breckenridge, MN to Herbert and Mary Ann (Granlund) Baker. She attended grade school in Wahpeton, and graduated high school in Wyndmere in 1974. During high school, she worked at Wyndmere Café.

Vicki married Cecil Stahl on July 26, 1975 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Wahpeton. Of this union, the couple had two children, Trish and Jeremy. Vicki delighted in being a homemaker and raising her children.

Vicki enjoyed making ceramic items, and collecting other trinkets. She loved jewelry, the more "bling" the better. A few favorite pastimes included reading the daily paper, attending Bible Study, doing word search puzzles, cheering on the Vikings, and playing BINGO and Yahtzee with family and friends. She also appreciated time spent with family shopping, going out to eat, and all other family gatherings. Vicki was very festive and loved every holiday. She would always dress up and decorate and participate in holiday activities. One of her favorites was being a volunteer bell ringer for the Salvation Army at Christmas.

Vicki greatly enjoyed her six and a half years of residency at Elim Nursing Home. She was quite the mingler, always chatting with folks and participating in activities. She brightened up everybody's day, and touched many people's lives during her time there. Her family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to all of her caregivers, friends, and "family" that she had at Elim.
