Violet Wig, 99, Fergus Falls, MN, formerly of Campbell, MN, died May 26, 2006 at the Pioneer Care Center, Fergus Falls. Her funeral will be held Thursday, June 1, 2006 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Campbell, MN. Pastor Carl Berner will be officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Campbell, MN.

Violet is survived by: Her 4 nieces: Connie Urness, Circle Pines, MN; Elaine (Robert) Mielke, Bloomington, MN; Gloria (Milton) Berg, Northfield, MN; Karin (Richard) Quick, Bonita, CA; Many great-nieces and nephews.

Preceded by: Her parents: Constant and Caroline (Larson) Lundgren; Her husband: Swan Wig; Her son: Spencer; Her sister: Evelyn Thompson; Her 2 brothers: William and Melvyn Lundgren.

Violet was born April 19, 1907 in Melby, MN, the daughter of Constant and Caroline (Larson) Lundgren. She attended local schools and graduated from Alexandria, MN high school. Violet then worked in the Melby area. On May 11, 1941, Violet was united in marriage to Swan Wig in Wahpeton, ND. They lived on the home farm near Campbell, MN, where they farmed together until retiring in 1984. In 1990 the couple moved into Campbell. Swan preceded her in death on January 20, 1990. She continued living in Campbell until 1999 when she moved to Mill Street in Fergus Falls, MN. In 2004, she became a resident of the Pioneer Care Center in Fergus Falls where she has since resided.

Violet enjoyed her friends and loved music and life in general. She also loved to travel. Violet was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Campbell and the Campbell Senior Citizens. She was also a member of the Wilkin County Historical Society.
