Angela South, 36, of Breckenridge, MN, died in her home on Friday, February 21, 2014. The visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00PM, on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge. Immediately following the visitation, the funeral will be held at 1:00PM in the chapel at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home.
Angela was born on September 1, 1977, in Fergus Falls, MN, to James and Barbara South. She grew up in Doran and attended school in Breckenridge, graduating in 1995. During the summer after high school, she spent time in France, prior to attending NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND. Throughout college and high school, she worked as a painter in the family business. She then worked for eleven years at various positions within the Circle of Nations School in Wahpeton, ND. She was very grateful for the opportunities, and relationships she established with co-workers and students. She had a great appreciation for the Native American Culture. Angela was very artistic and creative. She enjoyed gardening, music, making jewelry, and had a love for animals.
Angela survived by her parents, James (Karen) South of Underwood, MN; Barbara (Randy Pilger) South of Doran, MN; her sister, Cassandra (fiancé, Tom Spiekermeier) South of Fargo, ND; her nephew, Koda Bear; her brother, Jesse (Andrea) South of Las Vegas, NV; her paternal grandparents, Lois and Dennis Bogen of Fergus Falls, MN; and her maternal grandmother, Victoria Een of Fergus Falls, MN.
Angela is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Oscar Een.
