Ashley Danielle Anderson was born on September 1, 1985 in Buffalo, MN to Dan and Laura (Gibson) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church. She attended Buffalo High School and graduated in 2004. She attended Central Lakes College in Brainerd, MN where she received an Office Certificate and academic honors. On May 4, 2004, she started working at Wal-Mart in Baxter, MN. She was confirmed into the Catholic faith on April 7, 2007 and united in marriage to Joshua Walter on October 6, 2007 at St. John's Church, Wahpeton. They made their home in Brainerd for two years where they both worked at Wal-Mart. In 2009, they moved to Moorhead, MN and started working at the Dilworth Wal-Mart. Ashley was proud of her long term employment at Wal-Mart and was looking forward to receiving her ten year badge and certificate. Ashley and Joshua welcomed their precious daughter, Chloe Karleen Walter into the world on July 22, 2011.
Ashley was a devoted wife to Joshua and an amazing mother to Chloe. She enjoyed walking, watching movies, going to the lake, bon fires, doing crossword puzzles, reading to Chloe and talking on the phone. She treasured times with her family, friends and co-workers and was an inspiration to many with her ever persevering, can-do attitude. She never focused on the limitations that her disability had dealt her. She had a real zest for life and was always up for a challenge and new adventure. She proudly braved bridge jumping at Aunt Elaine's and set her sights on walking her first 5K which she did with her father-in-law at the Fargo Marathon in May of 2013. In June she volunteered at the Fargo Run or Dye and was considering registering for her second 5K in August. Consolation is taken in knowing that Ashley has now been set free in her new heavenly life.
