Beverly Ann Medenwaldt, 65, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Breckenridge, MN, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015. The visitation will be at Grace Lutheran Church in Breckenridge, from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m., on Tuesday, November 17, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Anthony Ahrendt will be officiating. Beverly Ann Kuehn was born on July 16, 1950, in Breckenridge, MN, the daughter of Arthur and Earlean (Shustrom) Kuehn. She grew up on the family farm near Lidgerwood, ND and was baptized and confirmed at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Lidgerwood. Following her graduation from Lidgerwood High School, Bev attended one year of college at North Dakota State School of Science (NDSSS) in Wahpeton. She was united in marriage to Harvey Medenwaldt on September 20, 1969, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. For a short while, the couple made their home in Wahpeton before moving to Breckenridge where they raised their two daughters, Shayla and Melanie. Bev was briefly employed at NDSSS, and then found her niche working as the Wilkin County Deputy Court Administrator and Probate Registrar, where she had been a devoted employee for 42 years. Shortly after her retirement in 2011, Bev and Harvey relocated to Fargo where they have since lived.
Bev was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School for many years. She also served as the Sunday School Superintendent and was a member of the ladies bible study group and LWML. Once living in Fargo, Bev became a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and also attended their women's bible study.
Bev looked forward to spending time with her beloved daughters and their families. One of her hobbies was cooking and baking, and thoroughly enjoyed passing along this passion to her grandchildren. Friendships were often nurtured over a cup of coffee and the passing of time only made each friend more treasured. Bev also took pleasure in traveling with Harvey and attending the grandchildren's activities.
Bev is survived by her husband of 46 years, Harvey; her daughters, Shayla (Corey) Leinen of Fargo, ND and Melanie (Jeremy) Harrison of West Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Brady and Abigail Leinen and Atalia and Taven Harrison; her brother John (Betty) Kuehn of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Earlean.
