A memorial service will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 2 pm with visitation one hour before at Joseph Vertin and Son's Funeral Home in Breckenridge, MN. René Hasbargen will lead the service.
Born on April 18, 1982, in Breckenridge, Bruce grew up in his hometown, attending both elementary and high school there. He also spent time at Fergus Falls Alternative School, where he continued to grow into the quick-witted and caring person so many came to love. Bruce worked hard throughout his life, holding jobs at Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative and Amazon. He was known for his sense of humor, love for his family, and dedication to those closest to him. Among all his relationships, none was more cherished than the bond he shared with his father, John, who remained his greatest role model and best friend. An avid Minnesota sports fan, Bruce proudly supported the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, and Lynx. He was also a devoted fan of the Grateful Dead, finding joy and connection in their music and message. Bruce had a deep love for animals—especially his beloved cats, Chase and Jax, who were like his children. He enjoyed spending time with friends, embracing life with laughter, love, and an unforgettable sense of humor.
Bruce is survived by his mother, Brenda Sanders; his loving girlfriend, Kimberly Wallace; his cherished cats, Chase and Jax; his best friends, Shaun Dalton, Brett Henkel, Joshua Lagasu, and Chris Steeves; and his siblings: Justin (Katie) Hiedeman, Joshua (Sheila) Hiedeman, Adam Sanders, Anthony (Tina) Reff, Shelly Hiedeman, Sheila Hiedeman, Tiffiny Sanders, Andrea (Jesse) South, Apryl (Charlie) Loll, and Melissa (Richie) Harris. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends who will forever remember his humor, warmth, and light.
Bruce is preceded in death by his father, John Hiedeman; his brother, John E. Hiedeman; his uncles, Bruce Hiedeman and Barry Osborn; Charles Buse; his aunt Joanne Hiedeman; and his grandparents, Earl and Jacqueline Hiedeman, and Wayne and Betty Osborn.
Bruce will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
