Carol C. Knudsen, 67, of Breckenridge, MN, died May 28, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center, Breckenridge, MN. Her funeral will be held Wednesday June 1, 2005, at 1:00pm at Inspiration Lutheran Bretheran Church, Breckenridge, MN with a 1 hr. visitation prior to the funeral at the church. Officiating: Pastor Lynn Dau. There will be visitation on Tuesday May 31, 2005, from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home,Breckenridge, MN., with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm.

Carol was born June 17, 1937 at Duluth, MN to Henry and Edna(Wallin)Johnson. She grew up and attended school in Duluth and later graduated from High School at Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in Fergus Falls, MN in 1955. She taught in rural Minnesota schools, Battle Lake, Morris, and Robbinsdale. She completed her Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education in 1962 at Moorhead State University, Moorhead, MN. Carol was united in marriage on December 28, 1963 to Ralph Knudsen in Fergus Falls, MN. The couple then moved to Breckenridge, MN in 1964. She taught school at the Wahpeton Indian School and the Breckenridge, Jr. High School. For the last 25 years of her teaching career she taught at NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND, retiring in 1997.
Carol was a charter member of the Inspiration Lutheran Bretheran Church. She was actively involved in the Women's Ministries, Music Ministries, and the church library. Carols pastimes included quilting, playing piano, reading, cooking, baking,and watching the Minnesota Twins. She also liked to travel to visit with family and friends. One thing you could say about Carol is, "To know her is to love her."
