Caroline Landert

April 15, 1942 — December 29, 2009

Caroline Landert, 67, of Great Bend , ND passed away at her residence under the care of Riveredge Hospice on Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 2, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church , Great Bend , ND with Pastor Anthony Ahrendt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens , Jamestown , ND at a later date.



Caroline was born on April 15, 1942 in Worthington , MN to Carroll and Lillian (Redinius) Karn. She grew up and attended school in Kensal , ND and graduated from Kensal High School in 1960. She moved to Everett , WA where she raised her children. She also worked as a manager for various Winchell’s Doughnuts in the Everett area.



In 1995, Caroline moved back to Mapleton , ND where she worked as a cook in the Mapleton School District for ten years. During that time she was also a loving caregiver for her father. In 2004 she made her home with her daughter, Billiette and her family near Great Bend , ND .



Caroline is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend and a past active member of Westminster Presbyterian in Everett . She enjoyed cooking, being outdoors, going for drives in the countryside, and traveling. She was always known as a giving and caring person.



Caroline is survived by: her children: Cindy Cochran, Alexandria, MN; Dean Suko, Fargo, ND; Janet (Bob) Grenz, Hankinson, ND; Georgia Suko, Moorhead, MN; Billiette (Bill) Peebles, Great Bend, ND; Mark (Barb) Opsal, Farmington, MN; Marcie Thompson, Eugene, Oregon; her twelve grandchildren; her many great-grandchildren; her brothers: Darrell (Linda) Karn, Buckeye, AZ; Herman (Jeralyn) Karn, Lake Havasu City, AZ; her sister: Leanne (Joe) Stanley, Mapleton, ND.



She was preceded in death by her parents: Carroll and Lillian Karn.
