Chase Mitchell Dow, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge, Minnesota. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place following the service at Burau Cemetery in Foxhome, Minnesota. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Chase's life.

Survived by his sons Leighton (3), Rhett (2), Lennon (5 mo.) (Aberdeen, SD), Parents Mitch & Amber Dow (Hayden, ID), Sister Tara Dow (Golden Valley, MN), Brother Brandan Dow (Apple Valley, MN) & Brother Hunter Dow (Monticello, MN), Grandparents Marlene (Ted) Terfehr (Breckenridge, MN) & Sheldon (Cindy) Tegtmeier (Colfax, ND) and his best dog Beau. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Lawrence Dow and grandmother Linda (Bunt) Tegtmeier.

Chase was fiercely proud of being a “workin’ man” for the Local 49ers and Landwehr Construction as an Operating Engineer. His mantra was “… Dirty Hands Clean Money…”.. He was certified on multiple forms of heavy equipment, and he loved his work on the Wind Farm project near Stratton, CO.

Although he loved his work, he struggled deeply with the absence it caused from Faith and his boys Leighton, Rhett & Lennon. He loved his boys with such passion and was a dedicated, loving father, always playing cars & trucks with them for hours, and providing experiences he could share with them. His first and last thought daily was always about his boys. He was immensely proud of his family.

Chase was an outgoing, exuberant people person. He had a gift for gab and could strike up a conversation with anyone, any age. Chase also loved the “art of the deal” and could negotiate, buy, sell, and flip just about anything for a profit. He was industrious, fun-loving, and deeply aware of helping others in need. He was giving of himself and his possessions.

Most of all, Chase was Godly. He actively spoke of, sought out and held onto his Faith in the quiet moments, while working on the road, and while talking with his parents. He visited more churches across this country than most people will in a lifetime of Sundays.

He was loved fiercely by his parents, siblings and sons and the absence of his voice, and the sunshine he brought to every occasion, is going to leave a tangible void.
