Cheryl Lawrence, 55, of Breckenridge, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.

Family and friends are invited to a time of gathering to share memories, laughter, and tears in Cheryl’s honor on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home from 1 PM- 3:30 PM with an intentional time of sharing at 3:30 PM.

Cheryl Ann Lawrence, born on September 7, 1970, in Anchorage, Alaska to Donald and Mary (Howard) Lawrence. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories, leaving behind a legacy of joy that will forever resonate with those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Cheryl was an extraordinary individual, known for her unwavering kindness and generosity. A mother figure to many, she earned the affectionate title of "Mother of the Century," reflecting her nurturing spirit and her ability to make everyone feel special and loved. A devoted friend, Cheryl touched the lives of countless people, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. Her big heart and strong work ethic made her a guiding light, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of calling her a friend.

She graduated from Breckenridge High School and later pursued her studies in Medical Records at North Dakota State College of Science, Cheryl exemplified hard work and dedication. Her commitment to serving others extended beyond her professional life; she was known for her love of puzzles and her spirited participation in karaoke. In a celebration of her passion for music, she even bravely entered a singing competition in Nashville, Tennessee, a testament to her vibrant personality and zest for life.

Cheryl leaves behind her loving life partner, Daniel Riedel, along with her beloved sons: Brandon Standy, Beau Lawrence, and Travin Burda. The joy of her life was her cherished grandchild, Oliver Burda, whose laughter she adored. She is also survived by her father, Paul Jackson, and her siblings: brother Rick Lawrence and sisters Leslie Lawrence and Paula Jackson. They will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness in their hearts.

Preceding her in death are her beloved mother, Mary Jackson, and her dear "soul sister," Kristy Sprung, both of whom Cheryl held dear.

As we remember Cheryl, let us carry forward her spirit of compassion, her love for singing, and her passion for connection. May her memory inspire us all to embrace life fully, cherish those we love, and approach each day with kindness and joyful exuberance, just as Cheryl did.
