Cindy Comeau

November 28, 1960 — December 31, 2017

Cindy Comeau, 57, of Breckenridge, MN passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.  Visitation will be on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with a 7:00 pm prayer service at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge.  Visitation will continue on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by the memorial service at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with Father Patrick Parks officiating.  Arrangements are entrusted to Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge.

Cynthia was born on November 28, 1960 to Richard and Josephine (Private) Comeau in Moorhead, MN.  Cindy grew up in Fargo, ND where she attended Fargo North High School.  She later moved to Breckenridge, MN where she met Richard Bjerke.  Together they had a daughter, Nicole.  Cindy and Richard traveled all over the United States, visiting over 40 states.  She eventually returned to Breckenridge where she was a very dedicated worker at the Sundowner Bar.

Cindy had a sweet, gentle nature and had a heart of gold.  She would always go out of her way to help someone in need.  She loved animals, especially her cat, Kitty.  Cindy’s hobbies included baking, reading, puzzles, visiting museums, traveling, and writing.  She enjoyed going to the theatre and spending time near the ocean, and especially enjoyed going shopping with her daughter, Nicole, and trying out new places to eat.

Cindy is survived by her daughter, Nicole Bjerke of Breckenridge and her father, Richard Bjerke of Story, WY; her siblings, Mark (Patricia) Comeau, Oakdale, MN, Alan (Kay) Comeau, Breckenridge, Lisa (Jarrin Crotty) Comeau, Belton, TX, and David Offner, Breckenridge; her cat, Kitty; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Josephine (Private) Comeau; and her step-father, Paul Offner.
