Cynthia Joan (Gronwold) Hendrickson, 57, of Wahpeton, ND, died on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at her daughter's home in Wahpeton, under the care of Riveredge Hospice. Cindy's life will be celebrated at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge, MN, on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 3:00 PM. There will be a time for visiting with the family, one hour prior to the Celebration of Life Service. Father Mike Kellogg will be the Celebrant.
Cindy was born in Breckenridge, MN, on June 15, 1957, the daughter of Vernon and Joann (Lehman) Gronwold. She attended school in Tintah, MN. Following her formal education, she worked various jobs in the Breckenridge/Wahpeton community- mostly as a bookkeeper and bartender. Cindy was a tenacious worker with a friendly, compassionate spirit, who valued her family and friends. She enjoyed the abandon of motor cycle riding, and had a special flare for painting and decorating. In the last year, she was fortunate to enjoy the warm, sunny days of Florida living.
Cindy is survived by her special friend, Daryl Raasch of Lake Placid, FL; her children, Wade (Amy Triepke) Gronwold, and their children, Caylie and Gage, of Fargo, ND, Shawnna (Todd) Johnson, and their children, Wyatt and Mallori of Moorhead, MN, and Sara (Jeremy Kaehler) Gendreau and their children, Jesse Kruse and Jayden Kaehler of Wahpeton, ND; her mother, Joann Gronwold of Tintah, MN; her siblings, Barb (Larry) Raguse of Wheaton, MN, Bill (Sherry) Gronwold of Fergus Falls, MN, Sue (Dick Dale) Gronwold of New Brighton, MN, Wanda (Tom) Seliski of Breckenridge, MN, Greg (Christa) Gronwold of Moorhead, MN; and several nieces and nephews. Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Vernon.
