David Solien, 43, Wahpeton, ND, formerly Breckenridge, MN, died July 30, 2005, at St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge, MN. His funeral will be held Friday, August 5, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Wahpeton, ND with Pastor Ray Kelch officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Breckenridge.

David is survived by: His wife: Shirley Solien, Wahpeton, ND; His children: Tina (Mike) Lureen, Fergus Falls, MN; Tami Bradley, Albuquerque, NM; Tiffany (Bryan)Bonham, Blackwell, OK; Tanette (Jason) Ames, Dilworth, MN; Andy (Kathryn) Meyers, Papua New Guinea; Mathew (Dusty) Meyers, Chattanooga, TN; His 13 grandchildren; His father: Gerald Solien, Breckenridge, MN; His sister: Julie (Lonny) Mortenson, Fergus Falls, MN; Several nieces and nephews; His mother-in-law: Katherine McKnight, Coalmont, TN

He was preceded by: His mother: Eileen Solien; His brother: Michael Solien; His grandparents: Loretta and O.K. "Tex" Olson and Oscar and Josie Solien; His father-in-law: Ronald McKnight

David was born on May 11, 1962 to Gerald and Eileen (Olson) Solien in Breckenridge, MN. He was raised in Breckenridge, graduated from St. Mary's School and was in the Breckenridge High School Class of 1980. He worked at Breckenridge Drug during his high school years. David then attended Hennepin Technical Center in Brooklyn Park, MN where he took Audio-Visual Technology classes. He lived in Brooklyn Park and worked at Color Lab for several years and for Ellsworth's Adhesives for about five years. David then returned to Breckenridge and began his current career working with Red River Human Services.

David was married to Denese Copeland on May 19, 1990. They were divorced in July of 1996. On October 6, 2001 he married Shirley Little at the Rosemeade Chalet in Chahinkapa Park. The couple made their home in Wahpeton. David was a Boy Scout in his youth and involved in ND Boys State the past few years. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Wahpeton. He enjoyed golf, woodworking, the outdoors, photography, and spending time with his family.
