His funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 2, at 1:00 PM at

Church

, with Pastor Mark Manning officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Donald was born on June 28, 1922 in
Barton
,
ND
to Harry and Hilda (Miller) Anderson.
He grew up and attended school in
Willow City
,
ND
and graduated as salutatorian in 1941.
He started farming on the family farm until contracting tuberculosis in 1947 when he had to enter San Haven Sanatorium in
Bottineau
,
ND
for four years to recover.
In 1951 he attended North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND where he received his degree in Radio and TV technology.
On June 5, 1954 he was united in marriage to Norma Nelson in
Denbigh
,
ND
.
In 1955, he started his own business, Don’s Radio and TV, in
Breckenridge
,
MN
.
He ran that business until he retired in 1981.
After retiring, Don and Norma moved back to
North Dakota
to care for their parents.
In 1993 they returned to the Wahpeton-Breckenridge area where they have lived since.
Don was a member of
Breckenridge
Lutheran
Church
and Breckenridge Rotary Club.
He enjoyed carpentry and woodworking throughout his life and built a few houses to prove it.
He also loved the many years he spent with his family at
Star
Lake
and fishing.
He also enjoyed playing games with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife:
Norma Anderson, Breckenridge, MN; His three children:
David (Sheri Auclair) Anderson, Minnetonka, MN and their children, Jennifer (Bryan) Johnson, Michael, Sarah, and David;
Nola (Mike) Froehle, Eden Prairie, MN and their children, Brad and Katie; Mark (Eileen) Anderson, Shorewood, MN and their children Eric and Chris; His special great-grandson:
Nathaniel Johnson; His brother:
Manville Anderson- Norwood, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents:
Harry and Hilda Anderson; and his brother:
Howard Anderson.
