Henry H. Hansen, 80, rural Doran, MN, died May 2, 2006 at St. Catherine's Living Center, Wahpeton, ND.

Henry was born October 29, 1925 near Campbell, MN, the son of Johnnie and Freida (Dagner) Hansen. He grew up on the farm and attended school in Campbell, graduating from Campbell High School in 1944. Henry then entered the U. S. Navy. He was stationed in Puerto Rico and worked on aircraft maintenance. Henry was discharged from the Navy in 1946. Upon his return home, he worked for Wilkin County, MN.

On June 12, 1949 Henry was united in marriage to Florence Bontjes at Christ Lutheran Church in Mitchell Township near Wolverton, MN. The couple always made their home near Doran, MN, where they farmed and raised their children. Henry also worked doing commercial construction work and crop spraying.

Henry was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Campbell and VFW Post #612 in Fergus Falls, MN. Gardening, planting and caring for trees, hunting and fishing were his favorite pastimes. Henry was a loving husband and father. His family always looked forward to spending Sundays together with him going to the lake, visiting and having fun. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Henry's family would like to thank the staff at St. Catherine's Living Center for the wonderful care that Henry received while residing there.

He is survived by: His wife, Florence Hansen, Rural Doran, MN; His son: Jim (Delores) Hansen, Doran, MN; His daughters: Diane (Robert) Heinert, Bismarck, ND; Joan (Craig) Patrick, Fairmount, ND; Donna (Duane) Rogahn, Tintah, MN; Gail (Rodney) Olson, Mapleton, ND; His 12 grandchildren: Jeff (Tina) Hansen and Nathan Hansen, Michael Heinert and Joanna (Ben) Pell, Curtis (Janelle) Patrick, Kyle, Melissa, Heidi, and Travis Rogahn, Trevor and Sarah Olson and Ryan Olson; His 7 great-grandchildren; His brothers: Orville, Wahpeton, ND; Robert, Campbell, MN; Donald (Bernice), Breckenridge, MN; David (Lorna), Lidgerwood, ND; His sister: Marion Unger, Fergus Falls, MN; Many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: His parents: Johnnie and Freida Hansen; His grandson: Joshua Patrick; His brother-in-law: Albert Unger; His sisters-in-law: Dorothy Hansen and Delores Hansen; His special nephew: Gary Lovellette.

Visitation: Friday, May 5, 2006 - 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, MN. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the church.

Funeral: Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 2:00 PM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Campbell, MN

Interment:Riverside Cemetery, Campbell, MN - With military rites by the Memorial Color Guard and Rifle Squad, Harold T. Swenson VFW Post #612 and American Legion Post #30 of Fergus Falls,Minnesota
