James Kruse

James Kruse, 33, Wahpeton, ND, formerly Breckenridge , MN , died September 15, 2009 at his residence in Wahpeton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wahpeton, ND, with Fr. Dale Lagodinski and Fr. Stan Wieser concelebrating.

Visitation will held on Friday, September 18, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p. m. at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge , MN . There will also be visitation for one hour prior to the funeral at the church.

Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery , Wahpeton.

Pallbearers will be Mike Harrom, Jeremy Tischer, Scott Gefre, Shane Miranowski, Jeremy Oliphant and Jeremiah Maack

James R. Kruse was born December 1, 1975 in Breckenridge , MN , the son of Richard and Denise ( Davis ) Kruse. He grew up on the farm near Foxhome , MN and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jamie attended Breckenridge schools, graduating from Breckenridge High School in 1994. He excelled in wrestling as a high school student. Following high school Jamie attended NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND with a focus on agricultural classes. He soon became employed as a millwright with Donan Construction and later as a welder for MDI in Wahpeton, ND, while working as a part time trucker for Kohler and Dramm. In 2006, he began working full time for Kohler and Dramm, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. Jamie also worked part time with his mother, Denise, on her woodworking and painting business.

He took great pride in his son, Jesse, and cherished the times he spent with him.

James is survived by: His son: Jesse Kruse and Jesse’s mother, Sara Gendreau, Wahpeton, ND; His parents: Richard and Denise Kruse, Foxhome , MN ; His brother: Eric Kruse, Foxhome , MN ; His sister: Keri (Darren) Heutmaker, Mendota Heights , MN ; His paternal grandmother: Audrey Kruse, Breckenridge , MN ; His maternal grandmother: Dolores Davis, Mooreton , ND ; Several aunts, uncles and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Richard Kruse and James Davis; and his aunt: Donna Tischer
